Since then, that idea has continued to grow.
There have been countless experiments. New flavours. New products. Ideas that sounded crazy at first. Mistakes, lessons, changes and unexpected discoveries.
Some ideas worked.
Some didn't.
But every step has helped shape Secret Basement into what it is today.
And the truth is, we're still building.

At Secret Basement, there is always another idea.
Another flavour to experiment with.

More Than Just Scooping Gelato
We're now looking for a new Gelato Crew member to join us.
Of course, there will be gelato.
You'll learn about our flavours, products and the Secret Basement experience. You'll interact with customers, prepare menu items and help make sure every person who walks through our doors has a great experience.
But we hope your journey doesn't stop there.
This can be an opportunity to learn through real, hands-on experience.
Depending on your curiosity, commitment and willingness to learn, you may have the opportunity to understand more about what happens behind a growing independent F&B brand.
You could learn about:
- How gelato is made
- How flavours are developed and tested
- How products and experiences are created
- Customer experience and hospitality
- Content, storytelling and branding
- Day-to-day operations
- The challenges and decisions involved in building a small business
We don't expect you to know everything when you join.
What matters is your willingness to learn.
An Opportunity to Learn Like an Apprentice
We see this role as more than simply hiring another pair of hands.
